Christmas Concert Fellowship Treats; Bake Sale

November 30, 2016 by

Christmas Concert Fellowship Treats

It’s time for our students to usher in the Christmas season by giving their gifts of music to the Lord in their upcoming concerts. Each concert is so special as we celebrate Jesus’ birth. This year, in effort to make the receptions after the concerts more conducive to parents being able to connect, we are changing how we are serving the treats. We will be passing out the treats to the guests as they exit the sanctuary.  Families will be able to go, with their treats, into the cafeteria for fellowship.  In order to ensure each person gets a treat, we are asking each family to make or purchase two dozen, individually wrapped, rice krispie bars or popcorn balls. The reason for this request is that it can be challenging for families to stay together after the concerts and for parents to monitor their children while they go through the long lines selecting treats. Also, it provides children with a safe peanut-free and gluten-free treat.

The upcoming Christmas concerts are on:

Tuesday, Dec. 6-Elementary Christmas Choir Concert – 6:30 pm

Monday, Dec. 12-All School Band Concert – 6:30 pm

Tuesday, Dec. 13-Secondary Christmas Choir Concert – 6:30 pm

Please bring your items to school before the concert. Place your treats on the tables set up along the long wall of the cafeteria. Thank you so much for your participation!

Please sign up on the Bethany Fellowship Association (BFA) to make the treats. If you are not yet on the email list for BFA, please email Katie Bumpus at:  Katerynearson@hotmail.com to be added.

Student Council Bake Sale

If you would like to wow your Christmas guests with a variety of goodies, there will be baked items on sale in the lobby at each concert. This  Student Council fundraiser will  raise money for school improvements chosen by our students and special events for students.

Bethany Loves Bloomington!

October 12, 2016 by

TWO NIGHTS remain to meet your $500 family fundraising goal for Bethany Loves Bloomington!

Turn donations in Thursday and Friday: All money MUST be turned in and online donations completed by 8:30 Friday morning to be included in your student(s)’ class and individual totals. Donations will be accepted after the deadline but will not be included in class or individual totals. All donations help us reach our goal of $50,000.

Packing on Friday:  Parents are welcome to join us as our students pack 30,000 meals on Friday from noon – 2 p.m. We will ask you to sign in at our welcome desk in the lobby. Please note that children under the age of 5 will not be able to help pack. We’ll announce class and individual student prizes during the games and awards between 2:15-2:45 pm. in the gym.

PRIZES:

Class Prizes: Each class has the opportunity to win a class party based on the percent-of-class-goal raised. 100% of goal wins a party valued at $100; 50% of goal wins a $50 class party; 33% of goal wins a $33 class party. Example: The 4th grade class has 15 students, so their class goal is 15 X $500 = $7500. If the 4th grade raises $7500 (100% of goal), they will earn a $100 class party. If they raise $3750 (50% of goal), they will earn a $50 class party. If they raise $2475 (33% of goal), they will earn a $33 class party. Families with multiple students: all students in the family receive credit for the amount raised.

Individual Prize: 13 prizes available, one per class. Students who raise the family goal of $500 or more qualify to win the individual prize. The qualifying student in each class who raises the most in his/her class wins a $50 gift card.

Pig Races! The qualifying student who raises the most money in each class earns a chance to compete in the mechanical pig races. The winner scores a $25 gift card!

Grand Prize: A student representative from the family who raises the most money among K-12th grade students will have 1 chance to score a half-court basketball shot. A successful shot wins FULL TUITION for the 2017-2018 school year!

The winner of the half-court basketball shot will receive a tuition discount on their 2017-2018 Bethany Academy tuition, equivalent to the tuition charged for elementary tuition. If the original tuition assessed to the student is less than the full elementary tuition (due to financial aid or other factors), the tuition discount will not exceed the amount charged to the student.  If the winner is a secondary student, the student will be credited the elementary tuition and will be responsible for any additional tuition.
