Women of the Academy, let’s come together, mingle and get to know each other.  You are invited to Laurie Dahlen’s home on Thursday, June 22 at 7 pm. Laurie is our 4th Grade teacher at Bethany. Band teacher, Mark Arneson, is playing at the Lowertown Blues and Funk Festival at Mears Park in St. Paul-Saturday, July 22nd  at 2:45-4:00 pm…with national recording artist/Christian songwriter/Worship Leader Renee Austin…. Its free to the public, but advise to get there early!

Private lessons spots are available for students to receive one-on-one instruction this summer…please call Mr. Arneson at 952 374 8238.

Medications in the Health Office at Bethany

Attention Parents of Students with MEDICATIONS in the Health Office at Bethany!

Please pick up your child’s medications (Rx and PRN Meds.) ON or BEFORE the last day of school.

Kindergarten Tuesday, May 23

Grades 1-12 Thursday, May 25.

No medications will be stored over the summer months at school.

Look for a Medication Order Form for next year’s school year with your child’s medications when you pick them up.

Graduation and Open House Dates – Times

You are invited to attend Bethany Academy’s Commencement Ceremony of the Graduating Class of 2017 on Thursday, May 25 at 7:00 pm. It is a graduation ceremony like none other and we believe your heart will be touched and encouraged by our grads and their many accomplishments.

Family Gathering at Bethany-Thursday, May 11 at 7:00 pm

Please join us tomorrow at 7:00 pm for a Bethany ‘Family Gathering’ at the school as  the Board discusses the following:

  • Present the Leadership Team for the 2017-2018 School Year.
  • Present the Year to Date Financials for Bethany Academy.
  • Present the 2017-2018 Budget for Bethany Academy.
  • Present the Strategic Vision for our School for the upcoming years.
  • Share Changes to Fundraising for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.

We hope that you can attend and leave knowing that the school is best utilizing the resources you provide; have a vision for the future; and a plan to fund areas that the Bethany community deems most important. We ask that you join us in prayer for discernment and wisdom and that the Lord’s plan for His school is clear and that our actions are honoring Him.

Concerts Monday and Tuesday Night

The Secondary Choir Concert is tonight at 6:30 pm

The Band Concert is tomorrow night at 6:30 pm

The Student Council will be selling baked goods and Starbuck cold coffee drinks at both concerts to raise funds for various projects during the school year. Thank you for your support!

Volunteers Needed Friday & Saturday at the PULSE and World Vision Pack

Join us at Bethany Academy/Hillside Church this Saturday, as we partner with PULSE and World Vision to pack school supplies for at-risk children in third world countries, as well as for students in our own community through VEAP.

300 are needed from Bethany Academy & Hillside Church (100 per shift) so WE NEED YOUR HELP:

Friday, May 5:
Set-up (5:30 p.m., adults only please): 50 volunteers
needed to set up 70 tables and school supplies

Saturday, May 6:
~ Parking Lot Help (adults only please)
~ Hospitality Help

Packing Backpacks:
Shift #1: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Shift #2: Noon – 2:00 p.m.
Shift #3: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Writing Notes to the children receiving backpacks:
Shift #1: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Shift #2: Noon – 2:00 p.m.

Prom 2017

PROM 2017-Memories Under the Moonlight

WHEN: Saturday, May 6th  5:00pm-11:00pm

WHERE: The Outpost Center-6053 Hwy 212 East, Chaska MN 55318

Transportation to and from the venue is not provided. Students need to arrive at the venue promptly at 5:00pm. STUDENTS, MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON TIME!

Parents are invited to attend the GRAND MARCH which will also be held at The Outpost Center and is scheduled to begin at 5:15pm.

The event will end at 11pm. Students without their own transportation should be picked up at that time.

Concerts and Special Treats

Our awesome, talented Elementary Students will be performing next Tuesday, May 2 at 6:30 pm. To encourage fellowship time afterwards-we would like to ask all families in the elementary to donate a plate of treats. You may bring them anytime before the concert and place in the kitchen. Thank you!

Students in grades 7-12 will perform their choir concert at Bethany on Monday, May 8 at 6:30 pm. The Junior High and Senior High spring vocal concert features choral pieces with the an addition of a vocal quintet, a duet, and two dance numbers. We ask that the parents please bring a plate or container of treats to share with each other and guests after the concert.

The All School Band Spring Concert featuring our 4th-12th graders is Tuesday, May 9 at 6:30 pm. Stick around afterwards for fellowship and community gathering. We ask that our band student families bring a plate of treats to share during this time.
