Winter Weather School Alert Information!

Since we are in the snowy season when school closings and delays are real possibilities, here is how to keep “in the know” about Bethany Academy. A decision to delay or cancel school will be made as early in the morning as possible. That information will be relayed to the 4 local television stations channels 4, 5, 9, and 11, at that time. The information will scroll across the bottom of the screen, a method in which you are all familiar, I’m sure. There is another avenue that may seem more convenient to you. Channel 5, KSTP, has a place on their web site for you to input your phone number(s) and/or email address and receive a text message or email, automatically notifying you if we have decided to delay or cancel school.  If you signed on last year and need to update your information  go to the same site and click on the update button.  Otherwise, if you are new to this system just follow the steps below!

1. Go to kstp.com.

2. Click on “school alert” which is located on the left sidebar of the screen.

3. Click on “Register to receive alerts via email or text message”.

4. Look for the blue bar that says, “Search by School” and click on the “B” for Bethany Academy.

5. Click the box next to Bethany Academy, scroll to the bottom of the list, and enter your email address and/or phone number(s) along with your provider.

6. Click “submit” and you are done.
