World Renowned Author to Present on Parent-Teen Communication John Crudele Tuesday, March 18th 7:00- 8:30 p.m. Prior Lake High School Auditorium A free event John Crudele, an internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and resource on youth and family issues, will address parent-teen communication as it relates to tough and “touchy” issues. “Parenting to the Teenage Heart,” will include expert advice and concrete suggestions. Parents will: * Learn how kids know they are loved – developing authentic self worth * Understand the three greatest needs of your teens * Hear the real message about creating strong families * Discover how your family of origin affects the way you parent * Break through the effects of denial and enabling * Look at positive ways to connect and communicate with our youth The presentation will also address depression in youth and how parents, teachers, and concerned adults, can recognize the symptoms of depression. Crudele’s tremendous enthusiasm for life and positive change has earned high marks with audiences across the country. An optional Q&A session will be held from 8:30-9:00 pm. This event is presented by Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools Community Education Services, Chemical Health Departments, S.A.V.E. and the Brad Hoppe Memorial Foundation.
